Small circles for the questions therapy alone cannot answer.
Six groups forming for the year ahead. Add your name to the interest list and I will write when the next cohort opens.
Small circle · 6 to 8 weeks · Indoors
Walking with Mortality
For: People living with a serious or terminal illness, and those who love them.
A small, ongoing circle for the work of meeting mortality with company. We talk about what is unbearable, what is unexpectedly beautiful, what nobody else seems willing to hear. Drawing on ten years of hospice work.
Small circle · 8 weeks · Indoors
Living Between Worlds
For: Adults rebuilding after divorce, retirement, diagnosis, or loss.
The old shape of your life no longer fits. The new one has not arrived. This group is for the in-between, the part that the culture rushes you through. We slow down. We compare notes. We let what wants to emerge take its time.
Seasonal cohort · Outdoors · Ithaca area
Grief and the Wild
For: Anyone carrying loss, including losses that have no socially recognized name.
Outdoor grief circles in the gorges and state parks around Ithaca. The land holds what rooms cannot. Suitable for fresh grief and grief that has been waiting years to be spoken.
Small group · 6 weeks · Indoors or hybrid
Befriending Uncertainty
For: People who want a deeper relationship with not-knowing.
A meeting place for meditation practice, existential psychology, and the neuroscience of uncertainty. Less coping, more capacity. For anxious minds, for spiritual seekers, for anyone tired of pretending to be sure.
Small group · 8 weeks · Indoors
The Spirituality of Everyday Life
For: Spiritual-but-not-religious adults asking life’s deepest questions.
For people whose religious upbringing no longer fits, or who never had one, but who still take the largest questions seriously. We borrow from many traditions and call none of them home. The aim is honest practice, not belief.
Small circle · 8 weeks · Indoors
Becoming Who Life Is Asking You to Be
For: People listening for what wants to emerge next.
A group for the threshold itself. For people who can feel that something is asking to change, even if they cannot name it yet. We make room for the question rather than rushing to the answer.

I run small cohorts a few times a year. Add your name and the group you are drawn to. You will hear from me when that group is ready to begin. No automated mailing list, no commitment.
